Weapons are a category of equippable items in Minecraft Dungeons that are used to attack and defeat mobs in during missions. The hero can obtain new weapons from opening chests, defeating mobs, exchanging emeralds with the village merchant, luxury merchant, mystery merchant, piglin merchant, and from gifts provided by heroes of other players through the gift wrapper. Weapons can have up to three player selected enchantments to apply additional properties.
The maximum power level for weapons is 263. Gilded weapons can drop in Ancient Hunts and be obtained from the piglin merchant with a maximum power of 251. Gilded weapons at power level 263 are obtainable through the Tower. Seasonal equipment can be obtained gilded.
Melee weapons are weapons that can be used to damage nearby entities. There are currently seventy-eight known melee weapons. This includes forty-eight uniques, of which forty-seven are obtainable, and three are seasonal event exclusive.
Long ranged melee weapons such as glaives can help keep a distance between the hero and mobs or received damage can be mitigated and nullified by consistent healing with Radiance on high speed weapons such as the fighter's bindings.
With correct equipment setup and a touch of experimentation, Melee weapons can be the devastator to the Arch-Illager's forces. Slow and hard hitting or rapid and unforgiving, Melee weapons should always be considered - even if the player prefers a Ranged approach.
The ammo number represents the number of arrows the player possess and is shown in the quiver slot of the Heads-up Display. When ammo number reaches zero, ranged weaponry cannot be used. Arrow stocks can be restored by collecting arrow bundles that drop from chests, mobs, Surprise Gift, and Recycler. Infinity provides a chance for arrows to not be consumed upon use while Multishot, Chain Reaction, and Bonus Shot can project more arrows per arrow fired - especially formidable on ranged weapons that already fire multiple projectiles such as the winter's touch and harp crossbow.
Bows are Ranged weapons that can fire a Charged Shot when the Ranged Attack Button is held and released. Charged Shots deal more damage to mobs than Uncharged or Partially charged Shots. Bows have access to Charge involving enchantments such as that do not appear on Crossbows.
This also applies to weapons. Unlike Minecraft, there are hundreds of unique weapons in Minecraft Dungeons. They can be used for Melee or Ranged combat and different challenges require you to switch between these weapon types. Hence, it is only natural for one to be perplexed about which weapons to use.
Ranged weapons in Minecraft Dungeons are safer but they have an ammo requirement. Running out of ammo makes these weapons useless but with proper planning, you can defeat the likes of Redstone Golem easily with them.

Updated March 31st, 2021 by Stephen LaGioia: Dungeon crawlers are often known for their addictive gameplay and rewarding nature, and Minecraft Dungeons is no different. These traits, coupled with its brand recognition, have allows this action-romp to maintain much of its momentum in 2021. This has been amplified with DLC packs like the colorful Jungle Awakens and atmospheric Howling Peaks, which have drawn players back into its blocky worlds. With that said, it seemed appropriate to flesh out this piece with even more potent and efficient weapons, including a couple from the added DLC.
Given the waves of baddies that usually creep about these dungeons, having a potent long-range weapon to stave them off is usually a good idea. The Winter's Touch shines as a particularly great bow for crowd control, with its dense arrow fire that can deal with large hordes.
Here we take a look at the different weapon types and assess the advantages and disadvantages of each one. We'll also take a look at the Unique variants which add extra buffs to your weapons and bring even more power to the weapon class.
Updated November 3, 2020, By Helen Ashcroft: As Minecraft Dungeons continues to be updated and expanded there are even more melee weapons to choose from, including the new whips introduced in the Jungle Awakens DLC. This means more options and more categories to rank.
Glaives of all types make great melee weapons at every level thanks to their longer melee reach. Being able to melee mobs who like to keep a distance or hitting others before they get too close is powerful in all situations.
The first DLC pack for Minecraft Dungeons is now out and it adds several new base weapons. There are a huge number of weapons in the game, each one with different power levels, base speed, and area of attack.
This Minecraft Dungeons weapons guide will list all of the melee weapons and ranged weapons in the game. Several new weapons were introduced in the Jungle Awakens DLC: the whip, battlestaff, katana, and the dual crossbows.
Every melee and ranged weapon has a base rating for power, speed, and area. These will be shown in the base weapons table on a five star scale. As damage scales up with the weapon's level, this will not be displayed.
Unique weapons have the same base stats as their regular forms. They've been separated into their own lists that include all the perks that unique weapons have, as well as which base weapon the unique weapons are based on.
While melee weapons are relatively simple to understand, ranged weapons can have different ways to fire projectiles, like the Scatter Crossbow firing multiple arrows and the Rapid Fire Crossbow firing arrows at an increased rate.
Scatter Crossbows shoot at around the same rate as a regular bow. Rather than having a charged shot option, however, these weapons shoot three arrows at a time in a thin cone, giving it decent area attack coverage.
Minecraft sets players in an explore, build, and repeat gameplay loop that is both addicting and limitless. You are able to create the world as you see fit, making it an ideal escape and place to build whatever you want. With the Minecraft Nether update, players were introduced to Netherite, a material that is elusive and stronger than diamond. Netherite is ideal if you want to go on dangerous adventures. With Netherite, you'll be able to build some handy weapons that can keep you safe.
Featuring tons of melee and ranged weapons, Minecraft Dungeons has a wide arsenal to choose from - but many of your options are better than others, with some only really coming in handy in quite specific situations.
This means that we prefer either slow, very powerful weapons which take out most things in one hit, or fast weapons that can deliver the multiple blows they need to defeat mobs as quickly as possible.
Slow weapons like the glaive and regular claymore tend to be a big lacklustre, but the extra Enchantment on Heartstealer pushes it over the top. Heartstealer comes with an in-bult leeching attachment that heals you for a portion of the damage dealt to every single enemy you defeat.
All three of these fast weapons effectively dispatch opponents. But the main reason to pick a fast striking weapon is to pair it with Enchantments which have a % chance to appear, or trigger at the end of a combo.
Duel-wielding weapons can be a lot of fun to use, especially when the goal is to kill a mob as quickly as possible. With that said, daggers can seem like a lot of fun to use. The player can slice monsters at a rapid pace to get as much damage as possible.
It can serve as a last-minute save to keep health up. It's especially helpful in difficult multiplayer dungeons where players are in need to back up and gameplan. They can do so while healing and taking a breather.
Minecraft Dungeons adds it's own unique flair to weapons and armor by allowing players to enchant them with special abilities. This increases the overall fighting capability and survivability for players' characters while making for some interesting combinations and effects while annihilating the Archillegers mobs. 59ce067264
